Oscar's Fair

Oscar Niemeyer passed away on the 5th of December 2012, ten days before his 105th birthday. He was famed for his architectural vision of Brazilia and the UN Secretariat in New York. Another masterpiece is the unfinished Rashid Karami international fair in Lebanon. Commissioned in 1962, Niemeyer designed 15 incredible buildings over 10,000 hectares. Construction came to a halt in 1975, with the beginning of the civil war. Today they are still empty shells.
